The Federal Skilled Worker Program aim to attract immigrants to Canada who possess the economic capacity to establish themselves successfully in the country.
Operated through the Express Entry program, the Federal Skilled Worker program falls under the Economic Class. To qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker program, candidates must meet specific minimum requirements related to their years of experience, education level, age, and proficiency in either English or French.
Eligibility for application is contingent on meeting the program's requirements, which include six selection factors with a minimum score of 67 points.

Candidates must undertake an approved language test to demonstrate proficiency, achieving a minimum level of CLB 7 or NCLC 7 in all four language areas for one official language.
For the second official language, a minimum level of CLB 5 or NCLC 5 in all four language areas is required.

Age (maximum 12 points).
Points are allocated based on age, with the maximum score of 12 points for individuals aged between 18-35, and no points for individuals aged 47 and older.
Arranged employment in Canada (maximum 10 points).
Full-time paid work for a minimum of one year, not seasonal, with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Trade certification in Canada is subject to provincial jurisdiction, with each province determining regulated professions and establishing applicable regulatory bodies.
Notably, not all trades are regulated uniformly across provinces, necessitating a mandatory offer of employment where regulation is absent.
Upon selection from the Express Entry Pool, candidates receive an Invitation To Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a permanent resident category designed for individuals possessing skilled work experience in Canada. This pathway caters to temporary foreign workers and foreign graduates with qualifying Canadian work experience and is administered through the Express Entry program.
