Federal Start-Up Visa - FSUV

The Federal Start-Up Visa program facilitates immigrant entrepreneurs in obtaining permanent residence while supporting their establishment in Canada.

It actively promotes the expansion of immigrant-led businesses within the country. Successful candidates are connected with private sector organizations in Canada, providing them with financial support, guidance, and expertise for launching and operating their enterprises.

The primary objective of this program is to attract innovative foreign entrepreneurs who will contribute to job creation and foster economic growth.

To qualify for the Start-Up Visa, applicants must fulfill the following criteria.

Meet the minimum language requirements in English or French (CLB 5 in all abilities).

Have sufficient funds to settle in Canada.

Plan to establish themselves in a province other than Quebec.

Successfully pass Canadian security and medical clearances.

Demonstrate that their business is endorsed by a designated organization.

Confirm that their business meets ownership requirements.

It's important to note that no more than five foreign nationals can apply for permanent residence as part of the same business venture under the Start-Up Visa Program.
